Today is one of those days where you take a step back and think. - TopicsExpress

Today is one of those days where you take a step back and think. I know we are full force promoting our chairs today. We randomly chose this date to do a special sale. Then I realized today was the 2nd anniversary of Tripp Halstead Updates accident. UGH But one thing that makes our families so amazing is that all of them have taken the situations that they have experienced, and have tried to be strong and positive. When we heard about Tripps accident, we originally contacted them to just see if they wanted us to do his room for when he got out of the hospital. Bill had just done his room and they said thanks, but we would rather you do this for another child who needs it. As time went on and they realized Tripp was going to be in a wheelchair, they had to sell their home and buy a foreclosed home where all the main rooms and bathrooms were on the main level. They were still living in the hospital at the time and I remember Bill saying he would work on the home when he could, along with being at the hospital and working at his job. We just couldnt let them go through that. At the time we literally had around $5,000 in our charity account. And we told them we would take care of their home and make it just what they needed. Were we stressed? Well, a little. But it took faith and love, and we were able to help with their entire home. So many companies and people joined together to make this happen. Danny Phillips, our contractor with Ideal Interiors, Lori Geary, Jennifer Crosby with Crosby Design group...the list goes to over 150 companies! We all had full time jobs and worked on this project together. The overwhelming love and support from everyone was priceless. This family, has been through an awful situation, but they have turned it into the best situation that they can. They have not dwelled on this tragedy, they have been strong and have taken it to a way to help so many others who are hurting and struggling. They have changed all of our lives by trying to be strong and overcome challenges. We look at today as a blessing to be a part of their family. We look at the progress that so many of our kids are having, and we are just thankful to all of them for helping us realize our purpose in life.
