Today is our first day back at school. I took the girl to her class, I gave the teacher a letter from the girls audiologist explaining her issue as well as instructions for her to sit in the front of the class as well as a few other things to help the girl hear better and be a little more successful as a student. (I also gave this letter to the school nurse when I registered her) The teacher reads the letter at the door and said okay no problem, then walked my girl to the very back of the class to her desk, I asked was this temporary the teacher responded no this is her seat I already assigned seats. Well okay lady for today and only today. I really hope for your sake we dont make this an issue. My baby girl went to the first day of her school career like a champ.(She will be just fine, her teacher is great and very excited to have another one of my Indians, she was the girls kindergarten teacher as well. She already knows me and my willingness to stalk my children and spy on their teachers and just spend all day lurking around like a weirdo.so I dont have to get her accustom to my brand of crazy. So yay for that!) I have had 5 other first days to get ready for this day. I have begged and prayed for this day to come both for her safety and my sanity. The mommy, lets just say is not feeling much like a champ at this point. I did a good job of playing it off until I got back home. The mommy is lost without that crazy girl.
