Today is the 1st Orange Day in Tonga! 25th June 2014 Lord Fakafanua Speech on the National Launching of Orange Day: [...] Today we support the United Nation’s Secretary-General’s UNiTE to End Violence against Women campaign which proclaims every 25th day of the month as Orange Day. I am both very honored and privileged as a man to officially launch the Orange Day for Tonga today. [...] The objective of Orange Day is to raise awareness about the issue of violence against women and girls on the 25th day of every month until it’s stopped. You can show your support in various ways: i) Wear orange on the 25th day of every month ii) Invite others at home and in the workplace to do the same and share the UNiTE ribbon - the new symbol for ending violence against women and girls iii) Spread the message and please cease violence wherever it occurs, whenever it occurs, before it occurs.
