Today is the National Day of Mourning for those who lost their lives on the job. Whether it’s on the ocean, in a mine, in a factory, or on a construction site, Nova Scotians are all too familiar with the pain of losing loved ones who were only trying to make a living. May the sorrow we feel for those lost and those left behind be a force for good. Improving workplace safety is a never-ending struggle. Employers, employees, policy-makers, and law-enforcement all have a responsibility to work together to ensure everyone comes home from work, everyday.
