Today is the big day. One person from this group will be announced as the Washington State Youth of the Year tonight. We already know it cant be Zebbie because of a new rule; he will first become eligible as a Junior next year. However, that hasnt stopped Zebbie from representing our community like the winner we know he is, and he continues to gain new skills and confidence through the process. Today features a morning full of prep followed by speeches at lunch, interviews throughout the afternoon, and finally, the gala dinner and announcement tonight. While Zebbie cant be crowned State Youth of the Year, he is eligible for the Governors Community Service Award and Scholarship. Fingers crossed.
