Today is the day... Today is the day that I take my friend, and companion for nearly 15 years for his last car ride to see the doctor. Today is the day he will breath his last breath. While at peace with the decision, the time is never right. I do this because he no longer has a quality of life, and cant even do basic things with the dignity becoming an independent creature. He will be missed, sadly for not lying in the middle of the walkways, trying to make sure hes in tune with the activity of the house...but missed nonetheless. This is the 4th friend Ive taken to the Rainbow Bridge, and had to leave them to continue their journey. I pray he is welcomed with warmth, and love....you deserve more than I had to offer, but never once complained. You were loved, you are loved, and you will be missed with every fiber of my being...and have never doubted you returned the love.
