Today is the day we have set aside to celebrate our Lords Resurrection. Yes, I know it falls on the date they used to celebrate Ishtar. Yes, I know many do not believe. Yes, I know others have commercialized the day. I choose to remember this day for what I believe, and nothing else matters. This is a day of one of the greatest miracles of our existence. This is the day to remember the fulfillment of age old prophecy. This is the day to remember that we became more then the sum of our physical selves, where we were accorded grace, mercy, and unconditional love. This is the day Jesus showed us how to conquer death, how to arise from the tomb of this world and throw off the chains that satan has placed on us here. This is the day to reflect that we are not humans having a spiritual experience, but spirits having a human one. That we are all connected to our Father in heaven, and are so valuable, His Son, the extension of Himself in the flesh, came and died, and rose again, so that I might have life abundantly, and free. Everyone else can have Easter Bunnies, and turn away from God. I choose to remember who I am, who created me, and who has saved me. Blessed Easter Day, that I celebrate today, and every day. Thank you Lord.
