Today is the feast of St. Francis de Sales. He was a bishop and Doctor of the Church who helped lead the Counter-Reformation. He is the patron saint of Catholic press, confessors, deaf people, educators, writers and journalists. Make friends with the angels, who though invisible are always with you.... Often invoke them, constantly praise them, and make good use of their help and assistance in all your temporal and spiritual affairs. “Let us run to Mary, and, as her little children, cast ourselves into her arms with a perfect confidence.” Have patience with all things, But, first of all with yourself.
