Today it surprises me to read in the paper that Ku Li is said to be trying his luck to challenge Najib for the Umno Presidency this time.Ya m surprised because never for a moment can I imagine Ku Li being the Prime Minister of Malaysia sitting side by side President Obama paying him a courtesy call at the White House or him being invited to the annual Ramadan breaking of the fast ceremony with foreign dignitaries there. Y cant I imagine this? Because I dont think he has the charisma of Najib who can deliver his speech at such a highlevel forum captivating his audience like his predecessor Dr Mahathir did everytime he adressess the UN, the Economic Summit at Davos or when he speaks at OIC or the Commonwealth Heads of Government meetings. You see..the PM is a very high level post which needs someone of equally high calibre to handle it domestically and more so internationally. You need a PM like Najib to convince the world economic powers to come invest in Malaysia. Malaysia is a natural choice if the world leaders wud care to see and analyse fairly compared to any country in the developing world. But we cant just expect them to make that decision by themselves. We and in the present case, Najib has to make his homework thoroughly..plan his script of important points and facts to be crafted into a superflowing speech that when delivered accordingly with proper pronunciations and accentuations, will deliver the good for the country. That speech so well thoughtout and so well delivered finally sells Malaysia as The No1 Investment destination for them, the world economic superpowers. Now who better than Najib who can deliver this task at present??? Anyone?? Yes there is ..but ONLY ONE at the moment. And bullseye..Its Khairy Jamaluddin or better known today simply and fondly among the Malaysian Y generations as KJ. In fact KJ is even slightly better perhaps than Najib when it comes to speaking the English Language naturally fluently.
