Today, just wanted to share some good advice from the BH Management blog that showed up in my inbox today. I definitely need to take heed of the words below, as Im sure most of you do too! Thanks for sharing this, BH Management Services!!! -DB Today’s blog post is solely dedicated to seizing the day. Yep – you heard us right! It’s a phrase you hear all the time .. but in all seriousness, when is the last time you actually let it sink in… thought about what it meant… and asked yourself, “Am I carpe dieming?” It’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life. With the help of your Double Shot Espresso – you wake up, rush to get ready, rush to work, work, work out (for those of us who make the time and or ‘have the energy,’) come home, make dinner, sleep – wake up… and so it begins again. It’s just the nature of the beast, right? It’s rush hour. It’s repetitive … reoccurring. For most of us, it’s simply reality… or so we’ve always thought. But what if that wasn’t the case? What if we were able to change our way of thinking, and embrace every minute of our lives? What if we were able see it all through a new lens – a lens without limitations? This next week, we challenge you to love all of life and every one of its beautiful moments… to see every issue as an opportunity, every problem as room for improvement, every stressor as a chance to grow. Whether you’re trying to figure out who’s going to bring the boys to soccer practice – slamming to make your next deadline at work – or simply trying to make ends meet, we challenge you to find the joy in every situation, whatever it may be. No matter what it is you are going through, accept it. Embrace it. Learn to love the problem itself. Learn to love the process of finding a solution. Learn to love the solution. Learn to find peace during the morning traffic jam, as you sift through your inbox, while you’re driving home from work, cooking dinner, or cleaning up afterward. If you feel like it’s not possible – just give it a try. Only when we change our viewpoints … our perspectives – and only when we ‘carpe diem,’ will we truly succeed at being happy and living lives with meaning. Our time here is too short to live it any other way. Carpe diem, friends!
