Today marks our entry into the most important week in the life of the Church. Jesus enters Jerusalem to shouts of praise... making the final journey of his human existence. Some in the crowd offer praise while others wonder who he is. In a few days these same people will condemn him to a tortuous death. Some of us may judge them harshly... until we realize that we are them and they are us. Maybe not in the same way, but we, too are guilty of condemning what scares us... what we dont understand... or what our leaders tell us is worthy of such. We, too, may offer praise to someones face and condemn them to someone else. We, too, stand by while Jesus who lives in our persecuted brothers and sisters is condemned to a life not fit for a human being. Yes. We are them, but the amazing thing is that Jesus died for us and loves us anyway. May this love be our grace of conversion. Many blessings on this Palm Sunday, friends!
