Today marks the 60th Anniversary of the historical Brown v. Board of Education decision to desegregate public schools. This significant decision may have never taken place without the brave men and women, who despite intimidation and often times violence, took a stand in South Carolina with Briggs v. Elliott. I look forward to the next generation of South Carolinians continuing to fight for equality, improve public education and eliminate healthcare disparities.
