Today marks the beginning of a three-day tennis spectacle at the Mall of Asia Arena! Catch the Manila Mavericks, Indian Aces, Singapore Slammers, and UAE Royals as they vie for the grand title at the IPTL - International Premier Tennis League. IPTL has been divided into four teams – Micromax Indian Aces, Singapore Slammers, Manila Mavericks and UAE Royals. The teams are led by stalwart captains and popular figures of current tennis generation with 17-time grand slam winner Roger Federer leading Micromax Indian Aces, world’s highest paid athlete Maria Sharapova leading Manila Mavericks, World No. 1 Novak Djokovic spearheading UAE Royals and women’s top-ranked Serena Williams leading Singapore Slammers. Apart from the presence of these top-notch players, the tournament will also witness the participation of a total of 21 Grand Slam Champions and 14 current and former top-ranked players with the likes of Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Ana Ivanovic. The tournament that starts from November 28 will take place at Manila in Phillipines. The first leg of the 24-round robin match is to start from the home ground of Maria Sharapova’s Manila Mavericks that will take place at Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay, Philippines. It will be followed by Serena William’s Singapore Slammers home matches at Singapore Indoor Stadium, Singapore. In the third leg, the attention would shift to home ground of Micromax Indian Aces led by Roger Federer that would take place at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. The fourth and final leg is at Hamdan Sports Complex, Dubai that happens to be home ground of Novak Djokovic’s UAE Royals.
