Today marks the end of SIX YEARS since the CEO and 2 Managers of NBS were wrongfully charged by the DPP even though the DPP, police, NBS Board, President etc ALL knew they were innocent!! Then they were ILLEGALLY removed and payments/pension due ILLEGALLY withheld and continuing with Labour and other Laws disregarded & disrespected at the highest levels! This press release – copied below- by the Guyana Human Rights Assc (GHRA) was issued in Oct 2011 as the GHRA had to wait until the end of the court proceedings of 4 ½ years which was deliberately delayed by the DPP & others who helped yet no evidence ever provided of any wrongdoings!. Almost two years later, this justifiable call by the GHRA for an investigation and for the victims to be paid as required by LAW continue to be ignored by a Govt who claims to respect human rights! BUT THE FIGHT CONTINUES! TIME TO INTENSIFY & EXPLORE OTHER AVENUES and we WILL until the TRUTH is revealed and JUSTICE is received!!
