Today marks the halfway point of 2014. Made me reflect back about the last six months and how far I have come since new years. I was out of my mind on oxy painkillers from a horrifying surgery that went tragically wrong. I was in tons of pain and so depressed. I couldnt do anything for myself and I just sat in a chair all day staring at the screen. I wasnt sure if I would ever feel ‘normal’ again…physically or mentally. Today, six months later. I spent 5 hours at Grants farm feeding goats, fending off attack parakeets, and chasing after a 1 and 12 year old. All the while having the time of my life. Seems like since my surgery I have been making family more of a priority and work less of a priority and I’m fine with that. I guess I’m ‘old’ now as I say this and look at the sunburn on my recessed hairline. ;) This old man is going to bed feeling accomplished… not because I sold a pair of $1000 headphones, but because I know I was the best uncle chad in the world.
