Today marks the release of my stand-along Wolverine comic book. Its part of a series called SAVAGE WOLVERINE (#23). Its subtitle is FERAL. The story is my version of an EC Comic. Back in the 1950s EC published some remarkable stories in HAUNT OF FEAR, TALES FROM THE CRYPT, and VAULT OF FEAR. Indeed the stories were so strong that Congress got involved and neutered the comic book industry. Only in the 1980s did comics start to regain their vitality. The theme of my Wolverine story and some of its images are strong enough that I can imagine Congress condemning it back in the 1950s. Heres a link to the digital version and to comic book stores in your area. Im not sure why Marvel refers to the Wild West. The story is set in the contemporary Canadian Rockies.
