Today me and my boy went out of cronulla in a 3.7m tinny.Life jackets, good engine, epirb ect. We bottom bashed for a decent flatty, then as we drifted towards jibbon, we started losing rigs and catching bait and reef fish. We pulled up ancor, sure we were clear of the breaker at jibbon. Started catching slimy mackerel on our 1/0 and 4/0 paternoster rigs. Our pillies were going quick but it was fun and the slimies were a upgrade. Got a few sweep and a whopping port jackson and some red fish ive been told is good eating. I did my best to be sure my fish were legal or unprotected ect and kept a feed. I hope I got it right!!?? With a few big hits as well, the one that got away.. Then the wind hit and it was a horrible crawl home, with someones 12mm rope around our prop and a sunken mooring float shortly after.
