Today my dad turns 60. Hes taught me the importance of friendship in the fun times and the hard; that you can always hit snooze just one more time; the ocean is both beautiful and scary; you can love again,and again, and not lose yourself; how to throw a party; that sometimes its good to let people pretend the training wheels arent still there, when they are (like when your kid goes off to varsity with her love) and that Dads turning 60 while on contract are the perfect excuse to holiday -- see you in Dar in a few weeks Thomas Robert Allemeier!
