Today my kids challenged me to prepare and eat some really spicy - TopicsExpress

Today my kids challenged me to prepare and eat some really spicy ramyun. I read the packaging and mixed it up and my analysis of this stuff is as follows: Consistency: normal ramyun liquid will leave a thin red film on the bowl that easily rinses off. This stuff is like oil-based paint Aroma: normal ramyun gives of a heady scent of red pepper. This stuff stings the nostrils like an awful 70s cologne. Taste: Im unsure of the taste. Ask me when my lips, tongue, and gums stop throbbing Spiciness: starts with a slight burn to the palate. Kind of pleasant. Grows into a pulsating mass of hellishly hot and yet amazingly able to continue to sear the flesh after 40 minutes. After a quart of ice water and washing my face twice I can say with some authority that it is indeed spicy. Snot: yes. Summary: would buy again. Kids think I am sufficiently bad ass. Terrence and Phillip will have nothing on me come tomorrow.
