Today news announced that authorities have expanded the search area for the missing B-777 to the radius of flight range. They must have read my conspiracy theory, now they are saying its possible a hi-jacker took the plane for re-purposing at a later date. They should have listened to me in the beginning. I call my search process, total earth --- the process seems ridiculous at first but it renders the logic necessary for a successful search. If I am called to search for a missing hiker I will first consider the total earth as my search area. I can accurately state they are in my search area. Then using FACTUAL evidence (not rumors, guesses and hunches), divide and prioritize the earth into search areas giving highest priority to those areas evidence says has the highest probability of presence. I then go to the point last seen PLS to initiate my search. I would continue to collect evidence and allow it to appropriately modify my search strategy. The airplane, for instance, has a definite range (radius) of travel. I would give this radius the higher priority and would give the rest of the earth very low search priority but keep it in inventory. I would further define and prioritize search areas inside the radius based on available evidence. Where the plane dropped off radar was its last know point and that is where I would begin searching. Search is an emergency; there may be lives on the line... time matters. Time changes strategies; for instance, if this was a hi-jacking, then they will only remain in your search area only for a few hours, since they could land, refuel it and continue in flight. Rolls-Royce is now saying that all their jet engines broadcasts a data stream and they are now reporting those particular engines were streaming data hours after the plane was scheduled to land in Beijing, (not that they went to Beijing) meaning it was in the air... how big is our search radius now? More importantly, how much important evidence did they miss or destroy while they were squandering time and resources following hunches?
