Today, no one would ever believe we were under tropical storm - TopicsExpress

Today, no one would ever believe we were under tropical storm warnings yesterday. What a splendidly beautiful morning at the beach. I have been on the beach since just about sunrise. I have reflected on the past several months. Yesterday, was tough. The dreary weather didnt help. This morning, I came across this scripture and considered how hard its all been, the emotional, mental- and financial pain, and my faltering steps. I went through the journey in my mind...I can remember almost every step, every misstep, every emotion. He has been with me all along. He has sheltered me under His wing. He has been my refuge! He has been my fortress. Think about the word fortress, a place to run to for safety when under attack. No, it may not be Websters definition, but thats what it is. He has loved me despite my failures. He has strengthened my faith and taught me to praise Him and trust Him... even in the 11th hour. Thats pretty big. I used to crumble in the 11th hour. Yesterday, was our wedding anniversary. It was an emotional trigger, not because of what isnt, but because of what I thought would be. Sometimes, emotions come and go like the ebb and flow of the ocean...but God is faithful and He soothes my heart and reminds me, He is with me, He sustains me, He hides me, He protects me. I praise Him for the great things He does...and for Who He is. ~He is El- Roi- The God Who Sees Me.~ Psalm 91:1-11 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust. Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your habitation, no evil shall befall you. Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. I am thankful this morning. He has sustained me in the most difficult moments.
