Today our Little Bella Lucy was brought into to the vet for a routine spay and dental. We had alotted time after her illness to heal and also settle into her new home, with her new mom. Nothing seems to be routine these days and as if this little dog has not endured enough pain and suffering...the vet called me earlier today to let me know her bloods came back, the white cell blood count was a whopping 66,000. Sure enough...pyrometra had set in, she also had 2 mammory tumors removed. And a few teeth extracted. She spending the night at Lefferts on antibiotic IV and is resting comfortably.
