Today our world is faced with many catastrophic problems; Our environment is being abused, exploited and destroyed to a point where the damage might be irreversible. Politics is corrupted to the point where corporate interests take priority over the best interest of the environment and humankind. Our failure to bridge the gap between nations puts us at a constant risk of entering another world war, that could go nuclear. The richest 300 people in the world have as much money as the poorest 3 billion people. Scientific progress is limited by the nature of our competitive, rather than co-operative society. Established society is a strait-jacket to human evolution. The Venus Project provides a viable alternative that would eradicate almost all of todays problems by the intelligent and efficient application of science and technology. No utopias, no final final frontiers, just applying the best knowledge we have towards fixing the major problems of the world, rather than for personal or monetary gain.
