Today some of the males from our Extremus Indi litter, were picked up by Northumbria Police Dog Section. Good Luck Tank and Ghost, we hope you do us proud :) Although the puppies have been taking up lots of our time we have over the past few days managed to fit in some One to One work, including yesterday a American Bulldog called Oscar. Oscar had already been to see some very different dog trainers and from that, had such bad experiences due to the over zealous use of a check chain that he feared strange people. His owner struggled when out and about with his behaviour, added to the fact that he loved his dog very much and as most people do when there dog is showing aversion, him comforting and reassuring Oscar only led to his behaviour becoming further reinforced. We taught Oscars owner the importance of creating lasting associations and how to build a solid relationship based on trust and confidence. :) Darren
