REMINDER: City Holiday Schedule City Announces Schedule for Christmas and New Year’s Holidays Most City of Corpus Christi offices, including libraries, Animal Care Services and Municipal Court will be closed Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25, 2014 and New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1, 2015. Garbage Collection: Thursday (12/25/14) routes will be collected Saturday, December 27th. Mon. /Tues. /Wed. /Fri. routes will have no change in collection. Thursday (01/01/15) routes will be collected Saturday, January 3rd. Mon. /Tues. /Wed. /Fri. routes will have no change in collection. Recycling Collection: Thursday (12/25/14) routes will be collected Saturday, December 27th. Mon./Tues./Wed./ Fri. routes will have no change in collection. Thursday (01/01/15) routes will be collected Saturday, January 3, 2014. Mon. /Tues. /Wed. /Fri. routes will have no change in collection. Brush: WILL NOT BE COLLECTED on Thursday, December 25th or Thursday, January 1, 2015. Landfill: The J.C. Elliot Citizens Collection Center WILL BE CLOSED Thursday, December 25th and Thursday, January 1st and will open again during normal operating hours on Friday, December 26th and Friday, January 2nd. Recycling Drop-Off Sites: HEB at Leopard Street, HEB at Alameda Street and Glazebrook Street and the Fellowship of Oso Creek Church at 7402 Yorktown Boulevard. There will be no change in schedule for these locations. They will be OPEN for operation as usual Friday, December 26th through Monday, December 29th from 8:00 a.m.to 6:00 p.m. Animal Care Services: CLOSED Thursday, December 25th and Thursday, January 1st. During those days there will be limited field response and the facility will be closed. Libraries: All Public Libraries will CLOSE at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24th and resuming regular operating hours Friday, December 26th. All locations will close at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 31st and resume regular business hours on Friday, January 2nd. The Neyland Library will be closed Sunday, December 28th and Sunday, January 4th. Corpus Christi Science & History Museum: CLOSED Wednesday, December 24th and Thursday, December 25th and OPEN Wednesday, December 31st from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for Noon Year’s Eve event. Latchkey Vacation Station Winter Break Camp will be offered from 7:30a.m.–6:00 p.m. on December 22–24, 26, 29–31, 2014 and on January 2, 2015 (CLOSED Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.) Cultural Services: The Galvan House will be CLOSED December 25, 2014 and January 1, 2015. Gymnasiums: Corpus Christi Gym and Ben Garza Gym will be CLOSED December 25, 2014 and January 1, 2015. Recreation Centers: All five centers will be CLOSED December 25, 2014 and January 1, 2015.3 Senior Centers: All eight centers will be CLOSED December 24 and 25, 2014, and January 1, 2015. Juvenile Assessment Center: CLOSED Thursday, December 25th and Thursday, Jan. 1st.
