Today somebody asked me what is drum corps?, and so, I give you this, one of my favorite dc clips (just listen to those mello runs!) https://youtube/watch?v=ytBFg3aMx5c and this, that i found: Drum corps is marching band - sans woodwinds - on steroids to the power of ten. It is 18 hours perfecting 60 seconds in 100 degrees over 10,000 miles. It is sound that you can feel, and visuals that move you. It is teamwork, fraternity, exceeding expectations. It is marching in step with a song, or the person next to you, for the rest of your life. It is fingering your parts - decades later. It a disease for which there is no cure, and none is wanted.
