Today started out with worship at the base at 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM coffee at the Banyon Tree cafe, !0:00 headed home to gather snacks and swim suits (just in case) and headed south with Dave and Jeannie, stopped to see some type of foreign cattle with the biggest, longest horns ever, and a zebra on the side of the road, continued on through Ocean View and down to the furthest most place on the island, watched brave (or crazy) people jump off cliffs into the ocean and jump into this really deep hole filled with water as the waves came in, then swim out through the cave and climb back up the ladder. Then on the way out stopped at a little sign offering free coffee, honey and chocolate samples. Oh yes, and a restroom. Got a tour of the little farm, saw an avocado tree, banana trees, coffee trees, an aquaponic garden, tasted honey, coffee and chocolate and mac nuts until we were giddy - then bought some to bring home. Next stop was Punaluu bakery (the southernmost bakery in the US) for lunch, then on down to black sand beach, where the sand is really black finely ground lava and a big turtle sleeping on the beach. It got cloudier and cooler (all the way down to 75) and a light drizzle. Dave drove - pray for his driving and Jeanies safety! Then back about dark to see Daves awesome photos from his mission trip to Mexico. Very full day! God is good - we had a great time and saw the amazing variety of plants, animals and people that populate this wonderful island God has created.
