Today, thanks 2 increased awareness we pretty have good knowledge on our rights as humans or even citizens of a particular jurisdiction. H/ever, with this benefit comes the danger of becoming an entitled people - ungrateful & unthankful. In the text 4 2day - Luke 17:11- 19 we see nine men who are thankful for nothing & one thankful for everything. 1. All of them had a debilitating, defiling condition (Lev.13:3) that had them isolated & doomed - a clear picture of sin and its affects on humanity! 2. All if them who under the Law, deserved nothing cried out 2 Jesus. He owed them nothing, but when they met Him, they met grace! He saw far more than their outward condition; He saw the deepest needs of their hearts. He wanted to do more than heal their bodies! 3. Jesus did it God’s way – Lev. 14. That’s still how it is done! There is only one way to God and His name is Jesus, John 14:6; 1 John 5:12. God’s plan is for you to bow and call on Jesus for salvation! Have you done that? 4. 10 were healed but we hear Jesus ask when one came back 2 give thanks - Where are the nine?There should have been ten men bowing in thanksgiving instead of one. All ten had experienced God’s providence in bringing Jesus by; Christ’s compassion and love in healing them; and His power that made them whole. 5. How thankful are we for the greatest gift of all: the amazing grace of God that set us free from our sins? How thankful are we 4 all that God graciously gives? Or like the nine we are an entitled, unthankful lot! Have a blsd day!
