Today the BSU will be going to our friend Toby Murphy OToole the Maine Coon Cats house. We will be takin one of our special trains there as he lives in Canada and the scenery will be booootiful. Our inbestigative team today will be: Blaze: Our catpooter genus Harley: Our lead inbestigator Tao: Out best sleuth We will be inbestigating some goins on at his house. We understand that there are renovations taking place. Blaze has gathered all the info he can on what a renovation is and we will be heading out. As they head toward the train, Blaze has his catpooter firmly in paw, Harley reaches up and pulls his hat down lower and Tao slips on his aviator sunglasses. They climb aboard. Tao takes a window seat and Blaze slips in beside him. He keeps his catpooter on his lap for safe keeping. Harley takes another window seat. He prefers to sit alone and think about how they need to conduct this inbestigation. The train starts to pull forward and they all settle in their seats. Tao pulls out a copy of Modern Cat Magazine. The one with Blazes friend Tyrone from Tenderness for Tyrone in it. He has not had a chance to read the article and is looking forward to seeing the pictures of him. Hes one kool dude ya know! As the train speeds across the Florida Everglades, Harley is fascinated with all the different kinds of wildlife out there. He even spots a Florida panther! Wow, how magnificent he is! There are all kinds of birds and even some of those long, low to the ground, scaley things called gators. The train switches tracks and they head up the east coast of Florida. Harley lays back, pulls his hat down over his face and starts to formulate how he will handle this inbestigation. Tao is engrossed in his magazine and Blazes head is jerkin up and down. He is trying to map out his surroundings and get his bearings as the train slowly sways back and forth. As the train passes thru Georgia, Harley and Tao become excited! What? sez Blaze. Tao sez, Blaze, this is where we used to live for many years. Harley and I were born here! Oh, is it purrty? asks Blaze. Yes Blaze its very purrty. Its a lot different than where we live now. By now darkness has fallen and the boyz fall asleep.The clacking of the wheels on the track and the gentle swaying of the train are very soothing. When they wake up they are in Pennsylvania. The trees are bare. Big huge trunks with little sticks coming out of them and its cold! Tao shivers, hes remembering the time they went to the Poconos to see Trooper the Handicapped Kitten. He hadnt brought a jacket then and he regretted it immensely! Finally they arrive in Canada where Toby lives. They get off the train and Harley finds them a cab. As they pull up to Tobys house Tao sezwow, look at this! Theyve done a lot of work. They saunter up to the front door and knock. Tobys mum opens the door with a BIG smile and sez come in boyz, its so good to see you! Toby runs over and gives Blaze a headbutt with some rubbin too! They go into the living room and sit down. Mum asks if they would like some nipnog. Oh yes, please! They all answer at once! Harley sez so tell me mum, what is this renovation thing you have going on here? Wellllll sez mum. With that Blaze and Toby head off to the corner to check out Blazes catpooter. Tao asks can I have a look around? Sure sez mum. Tao wanders off to the kitchen. Its mostly finished and looks really nice. He looks out the window and sees that there are new front steps,porch and a backyard walkway.Tobys mum has done a magnificent job! Looking back inside he notices that there is a new wheelchair ramp, the doors have been widened and walls have been opened up! He continues to walk thru the house and comes to what was a small bedroom. It looks like this will now be a closet for the master bedroom, a dressing area and a laundry room. Tao wanders back into the living room where Tobys mum is explaining all of these renovations to Harley. He hears her say and eventually the end of the hallway and my former closet will be combined with the third bedroom to make the room bigger. Tao sits down and sez you have done an incredible job here mum! Did you do all of this by yourself? A lot of it. she sez, but I have a friend who helps me out when he can. Tao shakes his head, our mom could never do all this! Harley stands up and sez well I guess we have our answer as to what a renovation is. Thank you so much Toby and mum for the refreshments and letting us come inbestigate your house. He turns towards the corner of the room, Blaze say good bye to Toby, its time to go. Blaze and Toby begin to object but Harley being the wise kitteh that he is, knows that they must hit the road. Tobys mum calls them a cab to take them back to the train. They wave good bye to everyone and pile in. Tao sez, boy that sure is gonna be nice for Tobys mum when its all finished! They arrive back at the train. As it chugs on down the track Blaze lays back and thinks, not only will it be nice for Tobys mum, but now all the kittehs will have plenty of room to zoom around! He falls asleep with a smile on his face.
