Today the Conoco brand once again makes its appearance at the Golden gas pumps, now at the 7-11 at Highway 93 and Washington Avenue. Just in time for its 90th anniversary here in town, dating to 1923 when we called them the Continental Oil Company at the southwest corner of 13th and Washington. The first national brand of gasoline here, they have now been at 6 service stations in Golden along with their bulk plant at the historic railyards of Depot Street.
