Today the United States Navy will strike USS ROBERT G. BRADLEY FFG 49 from the list of active ships in the US Fleet. She was my first ship, she took took care of me from 1999-2003. I helped sail her through the Panama Canal at least 10 times. She gave me and all my shipmates great comfort on the morning of September 11, 2001. It was an honor and privilege to serve under CDR Mark Baluch, CDR David Wright and CDR Mike Strano. I also had two great mentors onboard Chief Petty Officer Sandy Berry and Chief Petty Officer Wiley Crews. I also want to thank current Chiefs Andre Andre Peterson and Justin Jenkins for teaching me the ropes. USS ROBERT G. BRADLEY FFG 49 will forever hold a special place in my heart. My God Bless continue to Bless our Navy and Nation. Fair Winds and Following Seas old friend.
