Visited Pinecrests Trader Joes: Traffic/Parking still sucks Inside was mobbed Prices look very good for their house brand, but the packaging looks small and Ill bet the portion/price isnt really as cheap as we think. Has some cool items I wont see anywhere else. Good Wine Section No fresh seafood, all portion pack/frozen Limited Fresh Baked Goods No Butcher, pre-packed meat only Beefs in those plastic trays with plastic film and looks very red...they say they dont sell CO-Gassed meat. Did I mention it looks very red like gassed beef usually does? Found bottled water advertised at $5.99 for 1.5 liters......when I checked its UPC code, I found Target sells it for $2.09. A Manager says they dont price match, but they found the price advertised on the aisle was for a 5 pack of smaller bottles and the 1.5 liter bottles real price was $1.99. Wonder if anyone paid $5.99 for it? I saw lotsa nicely packaged items in nice graphic packages. But I wonder how much product is actually inside and if the good- sized box is really full? Overall, real nice marketing and a fun shopping experience. The staff was friendly and eager to answer my questions and find the answers. The old consumer reporter never rests. I know too much. Just wanna pass it along.
