Today, the White House released the 3rd National Climate Assessment showing some of the challenges for the Southwest, including LA. As a member of the Presidents Climate Task Force, Mayor Garcetti is taking action to reduce green house gas emissions. Leadership from cities and local governments are a key component to addressing the threat of climate change. Next week, the task force will meet in Des Moines, Iowa where our Chief Sustainability Officer Matt Petersen will represent our city.
