Today,the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad is being observed as THE NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY,throughout India.Our school too feels pride in taking part in the celebrations.Floral tributes were paid by the I/C Principal Shri V.Ganesan and all the teachers.A number of Literary competitions are being conducted today.Maulana A K A,was the first education Minister of India,after Independence,in the cabinet of Pt.J.N.Nehru.He was born on 11th of Nov.1888.He was a great scholar,poet and a freedom fighter.He was well versed in Urdu,Pharsi,Hindi,English Bengal and Arabic.The meaning of Abul Kalam,isLord of speech.He himself added Azad (as it means freedom)to show,that he was free from the narrow minded thinking,in all good aspects in connection with the welfare of the society.He also took part in the salt sathyagrh led by Gandhiji.He was awardedBharat Ratna in the year 1992,posthumously.Poster Drafting Contestwas announced in view of the subject and all the kids took part.These were created by the kids of my house,ARAVALLI.(1)Portrait(2)The difference between,the educated and the uneducated. (3)The condition of girl child,when she remains uneducated.The rest are all in connection to the subject.
