Today the kids and I went dress shopping (Risa is a flower girl in a wedding this Saturday and I am a procrastinator) which quickly morphed into Christmas shopping. We were out from 11am - 5pm and visited at least 8 stores trying to find the perfect golden dress. We succeed and the kids spent all their earned money on others and crossed most family members off their Christmas shopping list. To some, shopping for 6 hours with 6 kids sounds treacherous, draining and awful but I have to tell you, my kids are pretty awesome! I actually enjoyed myself the ENTIRE time (I couldnt always say that) and it only ended so we wouldnt be late for Awana tonight, aka date night with the hubby (plus there was no pee accidents at all today! Seriouly, no pee = awesome day!). I am so thankful for mamas who went before me encouraging me to stick to being consistent, not encouraging bad behaviors, and calmly and swiftly correcting, teaching and training my children while they were young (or first arrived) so I wouldnt have to re-train later! It is pretty awesome having such a fun posse of the cutest shopping buddies and helpers with me all the time! Children really are blessings, the more the merrier! Not to mention the attention we get everywhere we go, like the lady today, Awww, they are so cute, where would I get some of those? Can I get your number so when I am ready for a kid you can get me one? I smile and responded, Actually we are looking for more, I was going to ask you to call me if you knew of any kids needing a home! Also, the kids got a kick out of a boy today that pointed to us and said loudly, MOM, LOOK! That is 5 Kids 6 Months! LOOK! MOM, its them! lol :)
