Today, the most common vector-borne disease in the Kingdom, however, is dengue fever, which is transmitted by the bite of a mosquito infected with one of the four dengue virus serotypes. There has been a remarkable increase in cases this year, with at least 102 cases during the month of February, and 68 the following month, according to the Directorate of Health Affairs and “informed sources.”
