Today the mother of all Thursdays; pampered like a King-of-Nowhere was I. She brought me yams and venison, slices of turkey and gabs of goose. Pints of ale and martinis, dry vermouth. Strong coffee laden with brandy, a side of minced-meat pie. On the way from the tavern, a kiss on the cheek. Pick-up barely starting in the cold, soon I expected the bouncer to throttle me. But heres to Ford! Im home safe, stuffed and financially secure until next week. Then I must pay. Hope Bubba boy aint bouncing.
