Today, the world of entertainment lost one of the most influential forerunners in sports. With his catch phrases that will forever live in ESPN legacy. Stuart Scott set a new stabdard to sports broadcasting and coverage. Like many others, I would intentionally wait for the waning hours of the day for Stuart to come on SportsCenter. And , when he did, it was worth the lack of sleep, because he brought a new love for sports. As you heard him cover the days events, you saw the love of sports in every word. It was as if we, as watchers, a new, deeper appreciation was deposited within all of whom were listening. When you turned off the TV, a sense of relief came over you because of the greatness that you had seen. We,as Americans, grew to love ,more and more, those one-liners that ,honestly, became like therapy . To most, sports is not only entertainment, but can be an escape and a coping mechanism for life. And, as you grew more inundated to the sports world, Stuart led you there. He was the best of his time, and your fandom grew deeper with every booyow that exited his mouth . And if your team lost,Stuart had a way of delivering a medicine like dosage that lessened the disappointment We had no idea what we were seeing on the air, but we couldnt get enough of it. In fact, if you were like me, you would rewatch the broadcasts until you drifted to sleep. Stuart Scott was great, and I am grateful of the opportunity to see someone who will be etched in history as , possibly, the greatest You will always be as cool as the other side of the pillow
