Today, unfortunately, I learned one of the benefits of my self imposed societal withdrawal over the past 3-4 years. I had never heard of, or heard, a song (released in 2011) called Friday by a singer named Rebecca Black. Today I heard it and my life will never be the same. To call it influential would be a huge understatement - for it inspires desires to self mutilate like no other piece of dreck yet proffered by a human being. The lyrical content reads like a whos who of any calendar close at hand with startling revelations that one can sit in either the front OR the back seat when riding in a car. Such moral dilemmas aside, the tone and timber of the vocal assures us that no matter how terrible the words - there are worse things in this world. Sadly, I will be reliving this horror for years to come in my nightmares and so - since misery loves company I invite you to partake although as the number of views indicates (over 70 MILLION!!!!)
