Today was a busy day at work for me. I was suppose to put 2 pallets of freight away and then do special projects for the management team. Well I opened three boxes and got called to be a cashier. Then attempted this process 5 or six times between assisting at the front or helping people find their hard to find items or checking prices I wasnt getting very far. I covered service desk for a break, jugling phone calls and returns at the same time. Lol then finally got to spend an hour on my freight and I knocked it out quick. Then finally a 3Pm I opened the final box and I was asked to cover electrinics for a lunch. Sure why not right? Do you have Digital photo frames?, where are your mp3 players?, what is why not lease it? Ooh can I do that? Where are extension cords, oh and can I pay for that at this register.......... my brain is fried for the moment but its time to put up that last bit of freight and go home.......... no wait a cashier wants help with a couponer that was very nice but they were just trying to get it right......I was off the clock but I assured her that I am a couponer and I would make sure that it was right before I left. She was assured........she got $28 worth of merchandise free with change back. She was so happy, we walked each other to our cars talking about couponing websites and our favorites stores. Definatlly a happy ending to a caotic day. But you all know me I would rather have a busy, busy day than a slow one. The time flies by and so many people were happier just because I was able to help them out today so it was a win win situation. I even helped Melinda Ledford find a few last minute things for christmas and birthday parties. Then Pauline HoneyComb saw me right before I left while she was shopping. The person that asked for an mp3 player was a soldier he had been home for 8 days after an 8 month tour, he was telling me that he had a stack if mail over a foot tall and some of his accounts had been closec because he couldnt pay the bills while he was gone, I helped him find a bluetooth speaker that will work work his phone, he said a few times how happy he was to get this speaker. I could tell he was ready to sit back and listen to music and really relax and forget about things for awhile. He even told Teresa Amanda that he needed a job for a few months until he got back on his feet. Super nice guy and I hope he gets it all straightened out soon. I truelly do love days like this especially when they are positive ones.
