Today was a day of mixed emotions for me personally. Mom had a wonderful day, her best day yet! She walked a few steps today with the assistance of the physical therapist, she was drinking from a straw today and was even able to speak some when we used our finger to cover her trach. Moms voice was the sweetest sound ever! As happy as we all are with Mom and how far she has come, it seems unfair to celebrate when Reese is still so very ill. We we wish that Reese could also take those first steps or drink from a straw...Reese has just had so many set backs and it has warn us all down, especially Justin and Claire. So we are so happy with Moms progress and the direction she is headed but continue to pray that Reese will make forward progress and not slip backward anymore. Reese needs your prayers...prayers for controlled bleeding, for inflated lungs, for strength to keep fighting...we just pray to hear Reeses infectious laugh, to be pinched by her again and to see her smiling face and toothless grin soon. We pray always...just bring home Mom and Reese.
