Today was a ok day all around.. Still dealing with some damage from the tornado . But driving around the neighborhood I witnessed that we were really lucky 🙏 Our house was the only house on our street that was hit. It was all on the streets behind us, trees through houses and cars. Trees completely flipped over and power lines down, buildings caved in. It looks like a war zone. Prayers being sent to all that was effected. As far as my Maddie , we have to make a decision that will effect her future. But we will continue to pray and we believe in the power of prayer. Miracles to happen. Her next MRI and spinal tap will be sometime next month. Depending on the results we will have to make a decision between staying on this current treatment that can cause major side effects being on it for a longer period , she has already been on it for 10 months. Surgery To remove the tumors but there is a 99.9% that she will be permanently effects with that.- frank and I have already said no to the surgery. The last choice is proton beam radiation that we would have to go out of state for . This is something we might have to consider but her dr would have to meet with other drs to see if this even a possibility. But with that comes major issues.. Memory loss , emotional issues and more cancer growing in her brain or other places. Which could happen right away or a year or more as well. Also Maddie has a very rare syndrome called the Li Fraumeni and ishe doesnt repair damaged cells and she doesnt prevent tumor growth. So her dr is considering that it wouldnt be the best choice. So either way we look at it has major health issues for my daughter. We need all the prayer warriors we can get for our beautiful strong Madison Leigh. She is a true hero🙏❤️
