Today, was a pretty good day. I left the house this morning it was in the mid-80s, nice riding weather. About ten miles out of town a chip truck was barreling down the road at about sixty with a large brown cloud behind him. I thought, Thats different... just before the brown cloud of wood chips hit me going sixty in the other direction. I got through that with a minimum of pain, and a freaking skunk runs out in front of me. No swerving, no braking, sorry Mr. Skunk. When was the last time you saw a skunk in broad daylight. Then when I get into the next town, this grumpy old woman pulls out in front of me and proceeds to putt along at thirty mph. When I finally passed her, she shot me a screw you, dirty biker look. Im okay with that. As we approached the next town she speeds up and cuts me off again. Nice. So, I putted along behind her. I noticed every time I bumped my throttle or moved my head, her yappy little dog would bark. Well, after three miles of me shaking my head and bumping the throttle, she is losing her damn mind. Yay, me! I finally pass her, and a guy makes a left turn from the right lane across my path. Managed to stop just prior to getting into the drivers seat with him... and my bike. I politely informed him he was #1 when I passed him. All of this should have been an omen, because the test I thought I was ready for, was the hardest test we have taken all year. So after playing multiple guess, I finally get to go home. A light drizzle turned into a monsoon. Water was literally pooling in the saddle with me. Rain finally lets up, and I notice a rather powerful smell in the air. I swear that skunk flipped me off as I rode by him.
