Today was a very big day for the future of The Cake Angels. We held our 3rd Annual general meeting, which also coincided with date which we were officially incorporated. It has been an amazing three years and I sure have learnt a lot along the way. I would like to thank Gabbi Armstrong, Sue Filipek, Mel McGrath, Udaire Kod, Selena Fong, Amanda Pitts and Dina Karamaloudis for continuing on the committee. We would like to welcome Kellie Arney, Vi Lieu, Lisa McFarlane and Shari Jayanithie on board as well. Some very exciting things are happening and we have finally agreed on a logo. After a little fine tuning, we will be sharing it with you this week. So stay tuned for that. We also now have an IT company working on our backend administration system (Yay because many of you know we have been wanting this to happen for a verrrrrrrrrrrry long time). When stage 1 is ready, in the next few weeks, we will be asking current volunteers to re-register and also will be calling for new volunteer registrations from bakers and decorators as well. As everyone will have to register through the new system we are holding off taking all your details to avoid unnecessary double handling. So keep your eye out for that as we will post all updates to this page. For those of you who would like to meet us, we have been offered a stand at the Cake Bake & Sweets Show which is running October 3-5 in Melbourne, so we hope to be able to meet many of you there. Oh and for some reason, no one else considered nominating themselves for President, so I guess its me again (even though the title sounds far too official for me).
