Today was an experience I do not to ever want to do again. We went on a raft trip on the Arkansas River going down Browns canyon. Everything was ok until we went through a place called the Widow Maker, and our raft became lodged against a huge rock and almost capsized throwing me over the side in very treacherous water. It is the most treacherous set of rapids on the trip. I hardly ever get fearful for my life, but the water and current was slamming my body against the rocks. I must have gone 300 yds or so and another BSA raft rescued me. I thank the Lord nothing happened to me. Ok now. Funny thing about all of this is the same thing happened to me About 10 years ago with Cuz Kevin, Mindy, Susie and all the Lindberg Cousins and Mindy and Susie pulled me in very quickly. Same place. Glad to be alive quite literally.
