Today was one of the best days Ive ever had in Judo. We came to the Virginia State Championships today with 30+ kids and dozens of family and friends cheering them on. I could not be more proud of all the kids and especially those that fought at their first tournament today. While we took home a lot gold, silver and bronze medals we somehow only took 2nd place in the team standings with 71 points. Just two points behind the first point time. While I asked for a recount I dont think the numbers will change in our favor. I also want to thank all the parents that supported our team today, without you we would not have a team at all. Then of course all the instructors and assistants, I couldnt possibly be on three mats at the same time. Im looking forward to our own in-house tournament later this summer and building our team even larger. With your help Wall 2 Wall Martial Arts will become a national force to be reckoned with.
