Today was pretty quiet, when I arrived at the hospital at 8 he was already down for the echo, everything with the heart is good, PTL!!! Dr S says the CMV numbers are down which is good but he is having the GVH in the belly & intestines so they started steroids today & will continue that for 5-7 days, hoping for improvement. After this, they will re-evaluate & see where things stand. Hard to believe how weak he is, cant stand alone, has to have help & cant be up very long only to transfer from bed to chair or chair to bed. Yesterday he was having his longtime back/hip pain so they gave him Demerol which apparently he is very, very sensitive too because he slept all day!!! I finally left about 3:30 to get some things done I needed to do & when I called @ 6:30, he had woke up long enough to take meds & jokingly called his nurse slacker when they asked if he knew his name, they were testing to make sure his thought process was good. Scott laughed at that one & says hes thinking straight!!! Tomorrow I am leaving for a while as I have a Dr appt I have rescheduled twice so better keep this one. Going to get a haircut, do some quick banking, pick up a few things, see mom & hopefully bring my little lovey back with me followed by my little tiger & his mommy for a couple days, Im sooooooo excited. I attended a BMT Support group meeting this afternoon & it was very interesting & helpful. Thank you my counselor daughter for your wise encouragement. Thank-you for the six more cards to add to his wall today! God Bless you for taking the time for cards & words of support!! The thunder is rumbling so Im thinking Im glad I already got my walk in.
