Today was so much fun! We helped to raise funds for a very special group Paddle Second Chance that works very hard to make a difference in the lives of those who fight for us to live the lives that we do. I am constantly inspired by the people who I have met through paddling and have found friendships that will last a lifetime. A special think you to Beth Deeley, Sandy Deeley, Ron Gossard and the whole crew at Walk on Water for their friendship and hospitality and truly sharing the aloha with a mainlander like me who has never even been to Hawaii but gets it. Thank you to Speedboard USA for keeping me upright and moving forward, Guillermo Loria for insisting I drink his last Gatorade before we started and Dawn Ehman Marohl and Corrine Banks for their sportswomanship and fun competitiveness. It was fun to win today but the win wasnt in finishing just a couple seconds faster.. it was in the beautiful day I spent with friends doing what we all love and hopefully making a small difference in someone elses life. Full of gratitude and happiness.
