Today was the 25th anniversary of the 1989 San Francisco earthquake. I was working my regular evening shift at CNN when the earthquake hit, running camera for Lou Waters and Susan Rook on Prime News. For the next 7 hours, I stood behind camera 2 (Susans main camera) and watched as our control room, newsroom, assignment desk, and feeds areas all became beehives of activity. It was an amazing sight to behold, especially since I had only started working at CNN one month earlier. I know it was a long time ago, but do any of my CNN peeps remember being at work that night, or perhaps have a memory to share?
