Today was the best day ever! San Diego has been so welcoming to our family, that I couldnt possibly say enough thank yous. One of our activities was to go see the Padres play. It so happens to be military appreciation day, and Forrests company was at the game!! What are the odds? He was on the other side of the stadium, so there was no hope in seeing him, but I was happy we were in the same place. We then got an invite, from Andrew Cashner, to come down to the field for a meet and greet. He was awesome! After visiting with them, some of the Drill instructors were on the field, and we got to meet Forrests DI. We also met another Marine, from Texas, who was throwing out the first pitch. Next thing you know, we are going from regular seating to a suite. There were several other people in the suite, including the Marine who threw out the pitch and a Colonel. (Big Wig!). We enjoyed the game and looked through binoculars at the recruits to see if we could find Forrest. We were even on the big screen twice. (We prayed that Forrest saw us, so hed know we were there.) Finally, the game was coming to the end and the recruits were heading out to leave. It was kind of sad, but Bill and I knew wed see him Thursday. We just went back to watching the game minding our own business. Next thing I know, I feel a tap on my shoulder. Guess whos behind me! FORREST!! I lost it, then I grabbed Bill and turned him around to see. He just stared for about 30 seconds and then he cried, and he cried and he cried. He didnt stop crying, even after Forrest left. I had to do a silly dance to calm him down. It was the BEST feeling in the whole wide world. It was like being in the movies. None of this was planned. That is 100% God!! Thank you to God, for putting the right people in the right place at the right time. We love you San Diego!!!!
